Laika – virtual reality experience at HOME

Based on the iconic graphic novel by Nick Abadzis, BAFTA and Academy Award-winning director Asif Kapadia (Amy, Senna, Diego Maradona) brings to life the ground-breaking true story of earth’s first space traveller in totally immersive virtual reality and CG animation.
In 1957, an unwanted stray dog became the historic first passenger aboard the Soviet satellite Sputnik II. Laika became the only living creature whose safe return to earth was never intended nor planned for.

Laika is presented as a virtual reality experience – audiences will be seated in one of HOME’s cinema spaces and will watch the film through a virtual reality headset. Each screening is limited to a maximum of 25 attendees.
