The Refuge

This is divided into ‘Little Scran’, ‘Scran’, ‘Bigger Scran’ and ‘Extra Scran’. If you’re after a full sit-down meal, there are delicious locally sourced beef and lamb steaks aplenty and a full dessert menu with traditional favourites like sticky toffee pudding reworked in a cutting-edge style.

You can enjoy afternoon tea in the stunning Winter Garden, a space full of natural light from the glass ceiling, and relaxing lush greenery all year round. For drinks, the splendid and spacious main bar has elegant seating – and cocktails to match. This Victorian building is ideal for groups, whether you want to share a quick bite to eat before the theatre, a Sunday roast dinner for all the family, or even a glamorous brunch to celebrate those big occasions.
