The brains behind Takk operate a family of Nordic-inspired coffeehouses, famous around Manchester for their Reykjavik-style clean, minimalist spaces and top drawer coffee and food. Takk Coffee at Hatch is a pop-up espresso bar where you can score a hit of high-quality coffee brewed from the Finca Miravalle bean, the pride of El Salvador.
And they don’t only do espressos – you can get Americanos and cappuccinos too. If you want food, head across the road to Takk University Green where they serve a rotating range of homemade flapjacks, waffles, and brownies, all of them put together from specially sourced ingredients.
Guests can grab a coffee to go as they venture up Oxford Road, or sit in Takk’s own seating area or the pleasant environs of the Hatch courtyard complete with trees, art, and reasonable company. A haven for fans of caffeine along the busy main drag, Takk is a must for that morning coffee or after-work pick-up.
Take a look at the upper windows of Takk Coffee at Hatch from Oxford Road where you’ll find two poems by Lemn Sissay.
