School of Digital Arts SODA Oxford Road Corridor

The School of Digital Arts (SODA) is a purpose-built, interdisciplinary school at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Opening later in 2021 with £35m of investment into building the workspaces, networks, teaching and research that will drive ideas and innovation across all forms of creative content.

The School of Digital Arts offers an interdisciplinary approach to courses that span film, animation, UX design, photography, sound design, gaming, AI and more.

Students at SODA will study programmes that are grounded in the present, but offer the space to explore the future – investigating what it means to be a creative media practitioner at the convergence of storytelling, technology and innovation.

This brand-new addition to Oxford Road Corridor has been specially designed by MMU to offer spaces for collaboration and innovation, through to state of the art facilities, the building has been created with the capability to adapt and respond to emerging technologies.
