Contact is one of the Oxford Road Corridor‘s most exciting venues and now it has a food and drink offer to match its programming. Contact Bar & Kitchen is brought to us by the lovely folk behind the Green Quarter’s cherished street food venue, GRUB who are working with Michael Anderson from Tikka Chance On Me, one of the best street food chefs in the north.
GRUB has built a reputation for being one of Manchester’s friendliest and most sustainable street food venues with the UK’s first vegan street food event as well as monthly Gluten-free nights, cocktail masterclasses and more. It’s a smart move from Contact and should help the venue attract hungry workers and students from the Oxford Road Corridor as well as their usual mix of creatives and theatre-goers.
Contact is in the top 1% of sustainable public buildings in the UK, environmentally friendly produce and systems are a good fit for the organisation and Contact Bar & Kitchen will continue to show their commitment to environmentally friendly operations.
Stop by and experience the full menu curated by Michael Anderson, it’s a perfect addition to the south end of Oxford Road with both an evening menu including a range of Indian-inspired burgers and small plates such as Sticky Tamarind Wings, as well as a lunchtime menu featuring cold wraps, toasted sandwiches, loaded fries and more.
The bar consists of a wide selection of beers from independent breweries including Runaway Brewery, Manchester Union, Fierce Beer, and a unique range of cocktails created by GRUB’s in-house mixologists.
