Circle Square

Nathan Whittaker

Circle Square is Manchester’s most vibrant new neighbourhood, located on the site of the former BBC headquarters on Oxford Road.

Circle Square offers a mix of commercial office buildings, private rented accommodation and an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants, all centred around a stunning new city park – Symphony Park. A 24/7 destination, Circle Square brings together some of the most innovative retail and leisure operators, making it the ideal place to work and socialise.

Due to the pandemic, Circle Square didn’t quite get the all-singing, all-dancing launch you would expect from such a landmark development in Manchester. Despite this, the city’s latest neighbourhood quickly sold out its office space and plans are already in the works to expand. This is great news for Oxford Road and timely as the retail and food and drink offer here is ramping up with Circle Square looking like the next big thing for foodies in Manchester.

Hello Oriental is Manchester’s latest one-stop food emporium, an exciting new fusion destination, formed from a diverse community of Asian street food specialists. Over the three floors, you’ll find a world of delights from traditional Vietnamese, a Chinese bakery as well as a fully featured supermarket and bars trading in both beers and spirits sourced from all over the world.

Canvas is just as impressive, a fully featured day and night venue within a venue with several floors of entertainment across more than eight thousand square feet. And as the name suggests, you’ll find a strong emphasis on arts and creativity with a gig venue and members club for special events.

Alongside an excellent food and drink offer, retailers at Circle Square include TRIB3, an ultra-modern studio space that matches intense workouts with equally intense sensory experiences, and LAP a premium outlet for high-end bikes.

Expect this new neighbourhood to quickly become one of Manchester’s most vital locations with a programme of events that will cement Circle Square as one of Manchester and the Oxford Road Corridor’s star attractions.

The development is a joint venture between Bruntwood SciTech and Vita Group. Bruntwood SciTech’s vision of bringing together the science and technology sector partnered with Vita Group’s mission of creating accessible city-centre accommodation is making Circle Square an interesting, vibrant and inclusive addition to the Oxford Road Corridor.
