Manchester Museum and the Whitworth are always great choices for a family day out. The Museum is home to over 6 million artefacts, and while some parts are currently closed as they build toward reopening as an event better museum in 2022, there’s still lots to see here for young and old alike. As well as their Outdoor Art Club, the Whitworth Art Gallery is encouraging families to get muddy and discover art and nature in Whitworth Park by downloading their free Welly Walks guide and enjoying a walk designed to support toddlers inquisitive nature.
Contact is a space for young people to change their lives through the arts and their Summer Creative Camp is designed to do just that. Z-arts is Manchester’s venue for children and families and their The Tiger Who Came to Tea and the adventures of Mog the Forgetful Cat exhibition is just the ticket for younger children.
