Start with a classic Oxford Road fixture, just a few steps away from the train station is Vodka Revolution, a standard go-to for crowd-pleasing nights out in Manchester. Just across the road is The Refuge an excellent restaurant that has one of Manchester’s most impressive bars, a great outdoor space in the summer and a lovely Winter Garden. If you fancy something slightly less grand, then stick to New Wakefield Street and head to Font Bar, another Oxford Road staple and home of the Unicorn Juice Cocktail and many more confectionary-themed cocktails. Head next door to Brickhouse Social for more unique cocktails and a fantastic roof terrace on which to enjoy them.
Further along Oxford Road is Hatch, a container village of some of Manchester’s finest street food traders including Miami Ice, a neon-lit micro club knocking out some of the best cocktails in town.
There are plenty of options over at First Street too with Bunny Jackson’s serving cocktails (alongside hot dogs) until the early hours and Gas Works offering a cocktail menu to rival their excellent choice of beers.
