Oxford Road Corridor announce Corridor of Light

Oxford Road Corridor is pleased to announce the first-ever Corridor of Light, a celebration of language through light, music and ideas that will take place this autumn, from Thursday 21st to Saturday 23rd of October.

“Oxford Road Corridor is a brilliant canvas for Corridor of Light.  We will regather, sharing our stories of today, and will reveal the stories of the past and the difference those who dwell, study and work here are making to our futures.  We look forward to inviting artists and audiences to explore the canvas, and to enjoying language in all its forms, through light, music and ideas.”

Maria Bota, Artistic Director, Corridor of Light

Corridor of Light is supported by Arts Council England and will work with organisations from across the partnership to reveal to audiences the unique concentration of knowledge and culture found on the Oxford Road Corridor.

Led by Artistic Director Maria Bota (Ripples of Hope Festival, Great Exhibition of the North) Corridor of Light will open up the canvas of Oxford Road Corridor to headline and local artists in a programme designed to encourage audiences to explore Manchester’s Oxford Road Corridor, from internationally recognised galleries, museums and universities to the innovation district’s hidden gems and cutting edge new developments.

Details of the programme and artist call-out will be announced in the coming weeks. For the latest information, please follow Oxford Road Corridor’s social media channels.
