At Manchester Museum, DJ and producer Werkha (Tom Leah) invites audiences on an immersive audio-visual journey through the Celtic rainforests in Saturama. Inspired by Britain’s temperate, yet often-overlooked, rainforests, Werkha’s atmospheric sounds blend with breathtaking visuals by Joel Hepworth, capturing the beauty of these ancient landscapes.
A native of Manchester with roots in Cumbria, Werkha is known for creating jazz-infused beats that reflect the rhythms of both city life and rural calm. His music explores the interplay between nature and urban energy, making Saturama a powerful reflection of this connection. Building on his work at the Wild exhibition and Bankley Mill Studio, Saturama represents the next chapter in Werkha’s mission to bridge art, nature, and conservation.
The event will also feature a panel conversation, allowing audiences to delve deeper into environmental stewardship and our connection with wild spaces.
