Wednesday-

North Carolina indie rockers Wednesday bring their 2026 tour to The Ritz, Manchester, in support of Bleeds, their latest album and what frontwoman Karly Hartzman calls the quintessential “Wednesday Creek Rock” record. Following a decade of boundary-pushing releases, Bleeds tightens the band’s trademark blend of literary lyricism, country-inflected truth-telling, and noisy, immersive indie rock.

Produced by long-time collaborator Alex Farrar at Drop of Sun in Asheville, the album sees Hartzman and bandmates—Xandy Chelmis (lap steel), Alan Miller (drums), Ethan Baechtold (bass, piano), and Jake “M.J.” Lenderman (guitar)—expand their sound while honing their narrative-driven songwriting. Across tracks like the corrosive “Wasp” and the bittersweet “Elderberry Wine,” Bleeds balances personal confession, vivid storytelling, and the textures of small-town life with a gritty, dynamic musical palette.

Whether recounting mischief, heartbreak, or the idiosyncrasies of everyday life, Wednesday’s songs are as visceral as they are intelligent, pairing Hartzman’s agile vocals with intricate arrangements that are at once intimate and explosive. Expect an evening of sharp, emotionally rich rock music that confirms Wednesday as one of the most distinctive and compelling bands of their generation.
