Elizabeth Gaskell was a writer, social reformer and radical, whose work has been adapted by TV and film.  This House is a must-visit for period drama and literature fans. Soak up the atmosphere of this hands-on literary house, dress up in Victorian clothing or simply lose yourself in the book-lined study and second-hand book sale. A short walk from Oxford Road.
