The Department of Chemistry, University of Manchester marks International Women’s Day 2026 with an afternoon of talks and panel discussions in the Chemistry Building.

Centred on this year’s theme, “Rights. Justice. Action.”, the event brings together speakers to explore the challenges and opportunities facing women in science and beyond. The programme offers space for reflection, discussion and shared learning within the university community.

Following strong demand in previous years, the event is expected to reach capacity, with priority given to registered attendees. A scheduled break between panels has been thoughtfully included to accommodate Ramadan prayer.
