Australian post-punk group Tropical Fuck Storm are known for their unpredictable mashup of garage rock, art punk, psychedelia and experimental sounds.
Formed by Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin following the hiatus of The Drones, the band expanded their line-up with Erica Dunn and Lauren Hammel, developing a sound built around clangy songwriting, restless arrangements and unconventional storytelling.
Their latest album, Fairyland Codex, was released last year via Fire Records, continuing the band’s exploration of social unease, dark humour and the strange realities of modern life. Recorded in Australia with co-producer Michael Beach, the record combines jagged guitars, driving rhythms and the contrasting vocal interplay.
With a reputation for unpredictable live performances, Tropical Fuck Storm have built a dedicated following through years of touring and acclaimed festival appearances. They went down a like, well, a storm at Manchester Psych Fest in 2025.
