Triceratops: Eat, Roam, Repeat invites visitors to come face-to-face with a prehistoric icon in a journey into the heart of the Cretaceous.
This family-friendly exhibition at Manchester Museum showcases the mighty three-horned giant through vibrant displays and interactive activities, revealing how it lived, what it ate, and how it defended itself against fearsome predators like the T. rex.
By exploring the anatomy of this iconic dinosaur, visitors will uncover its secrets, from the bird-like beak and spectacular frill to its three-horned face and rhino-like body. The exhibition opens with an atmospheric glimpse into the world Triceratops once inhabited, before encouraging guests to think like palaeontologists, piecing together the fascinating story of this incredible creature.
Children and families will enjoy hands-on experiences, including a digital touch replica of the skull and a fossil dig. At its heart is a rare, 1.9-metre-long Triceratops skull, on display in Manchester for a limited time only.
Admission is free, though donations are welcomed to support the museum’s charitable work. Tickets must be booked in advance for all visitors, including children, and are allocated in hourly timeslots, though guests are free to stay longer. Manchester Museum offers step-free access throughout, with lifts available in the Main Hall to connect all galleries.
