Kasia Szymanska leads a participatory workshop exploring translation as activism, inviting participants to examine how language can drive social change.

This interactive session considers the intersections of art and activism, asking whether all translators should embrace activism, and how translation can serve as a political and creative tool.

Designed for those new to translation or early in their practice, attendees are encouraged to bring examples, questions, or experiences to share.

The workshop is presented in partnership with English PEN, Comma Press, and the Manchester Translation Series as part of International Translation Day 2025.
