Part of Manchester Metropolitan University and located within the beautiful Manchester Central Library building in St Peter’s Square, the Archive finds, preserves and shares thousands of items of film and video. You’ll get to see the secure, environmentally-controlled vaults where the film collection is safely stored in optimum conditions. In our Conservation Room, our technicians will demonstrate how they handle, repair and digitise film and video. And finally to the ground floor of the library where you’ll learn how to search, watch and access the collection, to help you make the most of the North West’s incredible film history.

Booking: Places are limited and booking is essential, so please email n.w.filmarchive@mmu.ac.uk to reserve your place.
