Formed in 2009, To Kill a King is an Indie Rock band made up of members Ralph Pelleymounter (vocals, guitar), Grant McNeill (guitar), Ben Jackson (keys), James Ball (bass) and Joshua Taffel (drums). To Kill A King has released three acclaimed albums, 2013’s Cannibals With Cutlery, 2015’s self-titled follow-up To Kill A King and 2018’s The Spiritual Dark Age.

The band toured incessantly for the majority of their ten-year career but took a break in 2019 while frontman Ralph Pelleymounter released his debut solo album, wrote with Rag’n’ Bone Man and Zibra and keyboardist Ben Jackson has been producing albums for Childcare and Little White Things. In 2020 they released previously unreleased songs from their catalogue to celebrate their first decade as a band, including collaborations with their good friends Bastille.

In 2023 they released a 6 live track EP, Unplugged In Berlin, and in 2024 they’re set to hit the road again, kicking off a UK tour at Yes in January to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of their critically acclaimed album Cannibals With Cutlery. This six-date tour will feature a track-for-track performance of that landmark record in addition to long-standing fan favourites.

These shows promise to be a timely reminder of the band’s signature sound, which has often been praised for its honest songwriting, anthemic melodies, and experimental instrumentation.
