The Rills at The Deaf Institute

Seeing a meteoric rise through TikTok and the release of their singles The Angler and Stardog over lockdown, The Rills have emerged as a stand-out artist, hotly tipped for great things in 2021 and beyond.

Championed by BBC Introducing as a keen one to watch, the band earned a spot on BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2021, debuting their to be released single, World Leader.

Having brushed the shoulders of the UK’s underground circuit for years, including living stints in Sheffield and London, the band have returned home to Lincoln amid lockdown. Musically, The Rills play on the band’s trademarked thunderous rhythm section, led by lead singer Mitch Spencer, who is known for his quick-witted and ardent kitchen sink lyricism.
