Sunflowers play Big Hands. Formed in Porto in 2014, the Portuguese band are known for a raw, high-volume sound that draws from garage rock, punk and psychedelia.
Since forming, Sunflowers have toured extensively across Europe, playing more than 300 shows and sharing stages with bands including Oh Sees, Moon Duo, Black Lips, Night Beats, Boogarins and La Femme. They have also appeared at festivals such as NOS Alive, Bristol Psych Fest, Festival Indigènes and Europavox.
The band’s live shows are fast, loud and direct, emphasising physical energy and repetition over polish. Their approach prioritises intensity and momentum, placing them firmly within the contemporary European garage and psych underground.
