Pack a picnic blanket and head to Circle Square for a free day of live music, food, creativity and family fun as Symphony Park hosts the Summer in the City Picnic.

Taking over Circle Square from 11am to 5pm, the free event transforms the green space into a vibrant outdoor hangout with deckchairs, communal picnic tables, pop-up food stalls and entertainment throughout the day.

A live DJ will provide the soundtrack, while two silent disco sessions invite visitors to dance the afternoon away. There’ll also be plenty of opportunities to get involved, from creating your own bouquet with Funky Flora’s Bouquet Bar to water-based Sip n Paint sessions with Arc Arts & Crafts. Jamsalana Steel Band will bring Caribbean rhythms to Symphony Park, while The Jump Rope Company and Jump London will be showing off their Double Dutch skills and inviting everyone to join in.

Circle Square’s independent businesses will also be serving up exclusive treats. Expect coffee and cocktails from Federal x Moth Cocktails, Gooey‘s famous cookies and ice cream, plus special Bánh Mì and Bubble Tea deals from Hello Oriental.

Fancy something more active? Join free outdoor Pilates sessions with Restart Pilates or take part in fitness classes hosted by Jetts Gym.

Families are well catered for with crazy golf, giant lawn games, football challenges and plenty of space for younger visitors to play while adults relax in the sunshine.
