Studio 8 Installation

6-10pm, free, no booking required

Hear the recorded sounds of Oxford Road, spoken word, and electronic music merge and collide in a new installation showcasing Studio 8, the brand-new digital studio at the RNCM and the first Meyer Constellation system in higher education.

RNCM composition students have responded to the artwork you can see in the building’s windows, to sounds, to the poetry of Corridor of Light and to their own experiences of the Oxford Road Corridor, to make a new installation and sound walk.

Listen to their soundscape below as you walk down the Corridor or drop into Studio 8 itself and immerse yourself in enveloping surround sound. The piece is also available via a QR code displayed in RNCM’s window.
