Starsailor celebrate 25 years of their landmark debut album Love Is Here with a special live performance at The Bridgewater Hall, featuring the album performed in full with a string ensemble.
Emerging at the turn of the millennium with emotionally charged anthems including Fever, Good Souls and Alcoholic, Starsailor quickly established themselves as one of the defining British bands of their era. Their music blends intimate songwriting with soaring, communal choruses, creating songs that continue to resonate with audiences more than two decades on.
For this anniversary tour, the band revisit Love Is Here with newly crafted orchestral arrangements by acclaimed arranger Joe Duddell, known for his work with Elbow, New Order and Richard Hawley. These reimagined versions bring new depth and texture to the original recordings while retaining their emotional core.
Frontman James Walsh reflects a band that has evolved while remaining true to its identity, with later albums such as All This Life and Where The Wild Things Grow demonstrating both musical expansion and enduring creative connection. The orchestral setting offers a new perspective on the band’s early material, highlighting its songwriting strength and emotional clarity.
Across the performance, Love Is Here is presented in full, supported by string ensemble arrangements that reframe the record as a cinematic and immersive live experience.
This special concert forms part of Starsailor’s wider 25th anniversary celebrations, marking a rare opportunity to hear a defining debut album reinterpreted in a landmark live setting.
