RNCM Big Band at Royal Northern College of Music

Salford-born jazz guitarist Mike Walker returns to Royal Northern College of Music alongside pianist and composer Nikki Iles for a jazz-filled soiree with the RNCM Big Band.

Fresh from working with the HR and NDR Radio Big Bands in Germany, Nikki Iles brings her music to the RNCM alongside her long time musical partner, guitarist Mike Walker. This music marks a new chapter in a long and distinguished career in British Jazz, gathering together commissions from over the years as well as new compositions and orchestrations inspired by pianist Geri Allen, North Eastern Labour MP Red Ellen, and the landscape of Nikki’s home in Bedfordshire.
