As Manchester’s Pride weekend approaches, the Whitworth is asking how our gallery can hold space for queer hope and joy.
At this special Thursday Late event, we’ll be launching the exhibition book for (Un)Defining Queer and holding creative sessions to explore and celebrate queer joy together.
A paid bar will be available on the night, and copies of the exhibition book will be on sale!
Join us for the programme:
5.30-6.30pm: (Un)Defining Queer book launch
6.30-7.30pm: Queer Joy Dance Session with Fiona Ledgard
7.30-8.30pm: Taking Inventory of Ourselves – a creative writing workshop with Grey Marlow, using different writing techniques to honour our day-to-day existence
Please book each session separately, as each one has a different capacity and you might not be able to join on the night if you haven’t booked for that specific session.
