Queer Contact returns in 2026 with a bold programme of theatre, cabaret, art, film, live performance and dancing, taking over the Contact building for two weeks of brilliant queer work.
Across February, audiences can experience Main Character Energy (Thursday 12th–Friday 13th February), an autobiographical one-woman show celebrating talent, visibility and unapologetic self-expression; and You’re Not Getting Any Younger (Saturday 14th February), a Valentine’s Day cabaret from Chanukah Lewinsky for single people and their allies, embracing anxious bisexual window-shopping, non-ethical non-monogamy and big feelings.
The programme continues with Social Experiment – Queer Contact Edition (Thursday 19th February), a free, informal evening bringing together those interested in Live Art and contemporary performance to meet, talk and try out ideas, featuring work from queer artists. On Friday 20th February, Comedy at Queer Contact offers a night of stand-up from an all-queer line-up curated and hosted by Ben Hodge.
Saturday 21st February features two distinct works: Less Like Ourselves, More Like Each Other, in which artist and filmmaker Graham Clayton-Chance presents a body of work rooted in queer country and western dancing in San Francisco, spanning his multi-award-winning film Last Dance at the Sundance Stompede and a new immersive installation; and A Northern Trnny Hootenanny*, an uplifting queer parody musical by trans artist Hunter King, charting a journey of gender self-discovery set in the Wild, Wild North West.
