Enjoy an afternoon of family fun as Victoria Baths transforms its empty Gala Pool into a weatherproof indoor picnic space beneath the venue’s spectacular glass roof.

Bring a picnic, blanket and cushions, then settle in for a relaxed afternoon with activities for all ages. The programme includes a storytelling session from 1pm to 2pm, face painting between 12pm and 2pm (available on a first come, first served basis), a building trail and pigeon hunt, plus a range of craft activities.

Tickets are £1 per person and can be booked online or purchased on the door, subject to availability. As the event sold out last year, advance booking is recommended.

The Family Picnic forms part of Victoria Baths’ weekly Welcome Tuesday programme. Visitors can also join a guided Discover Victoria Baths tour, led by an experienced volunteer, with tours starting at 1pm (£10 per person). Doors open from 11am for free building entry, allowing visitors to explore the Grade II* listed building, browse the gift shop and enjoy refreshments in the Tea Room.

Please note that family activities operate on a first come, first served basis. Craft materials and face painting sessions are subject to availability.
