Behind The Scenes Tour

Opened in 1891, The Palace Theatre is one of Manchester’s oldest and most beautiful theatres.  With a glorious history hosting stars of stage and screen including Judy Garland, Gracie Fields, Les Dawson and Charlie Chaplin, today, the Palace delights audiences with large scale musicals, plays, music and comedy acts.   Palace Tours are a great way to  explore the Grade II listed  theatre and hear about its amazing history.  Explore the beautiful auditorium and have special access to restricted areas of the building.   The tour will be concluded with a Q&A with our Creative Learning tour guide, giving you some time to chat about your favourite stories from the day.

Tours will last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Meeting point for Tours is The Main Entrance. Please arrive 5 minutes before as late comers may not be admitted.

Please note:

Tour tickets must be booked in advance as tickets are not available on the door.

Doors will open at your event time! Please meet at the main entrance.

This is a venue tour and not a performance. Tours do not include show ticket.
