Nick Cave & Warren Ellis

It seems that every new Nick Cave release is greeted with journalists scrambling for fresh superlatives as the singer-songwriter knocks out yet another brilliant record. It’s exhausting to keep talking about how good Nick Cave’s new releases are. Well, here we are again. Nick Cave and long-term collaborator/Bad Seed Warren Ellis have knocked it out of the park again with Carnage, an album that doesn’t need much more words than ‘it’s another brilliant Nick Cave record’.

It really is.

Cave was scheduled to play Manchester during lockdown, it was rearranged twice before being cancelled. Instead, Cave performed Idiot Prayer at London’s Alexandra Palace (aka Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace). It was brilliant, of course, and was bittersweet to Mancunian ticket holders of twice cancelled gigs.

Well, finally, here we go! Nick Cave and Warren Ellis finally make it to Manchester, in the beautiful surroundings of The Bridgewater Hall no less.

If you haven’t guessed already, we think it’s well worth your time.
