Mystery Jets return to Manchester this November for a show at The Ritz celebrating the release of their new album, A Hole To See The Sky Through.
One of the most enduring bands to emerge from the 2000s British indie scene, Mystery Jets have spent two decades crafting thoughtful, melodic records that balance emotional depth with inventive songwriting. Formed on Eel Pie Island in west London, the band first won acclaim with albums including Making Dens and Twenty One, before continuing to evolve across later releases such as Radlands, Curve of the Earth and A Billion Heartbeats.
Their latest album, A Hole To See The Sky Through, serves as a companion piece to 2016’s Curve of the Earth. Inspired by Yoko Ono’s artwork of the same name, the record explores ideas of perspective, absence and finding meaning in unexpected places, pairing the band’s introspective lyricism with richly atmospheric soundscapes.
Led by founding members Blaine Harrison, Henry Harrison and Kapil Trivedi, Mystery Jets remain renowned for their captivating live performances and emotionally resonant songs. Expect a set spanning fan favourites, deep cuts and new material from one of British indie rock’s most consistently inventive bands.
