Manchester trio Moss Side Sauna Club have their very own headline show in The Pink Room at YES this September, following packed-out gigs and a rising buzz around their upcoming debut album.
Made up of Will Brooks, Maddy Storm and Sam Craighan, the band have carved out a space for themselves with a sound that’s hard to pin down, merging distorted pop, glitchy electronics and sharp vocal harmonies with a darkly playful edge.
Their recent singles, ‘My Weird Appetite’ and ‘FREAK’, offer two vivid snapshots of what to expect. The former weaves warped synths and processed vocals into a track that teeters between catchy and chaotic, while the latter adds fuzzy guitar textures and a raw grunge pulse to a tightly structured alt-pop format.
With a debut album on the horizon and production credits that include mixing by Maddy Storm and mastering by Pete Maher, it feels like this is one not to miss.
