Miss Chief Cabaret x Yuki Kihara- Darwin in Paradise Camp

Miss Chief Cabaret joins Paradise Camp at the Whitworth for an evening of queer glamour, uniting performers from across the globe. Hosted by Banksie, the event celebrates Yuki Kihara: Darwin in Paradise Camp with high-energy performances and art-house edge.

The night features sensational performances from Violet Blonde, Mark Anthony, Lily Snatch Dragon, Shanika Sunrise, and international special guests. DJ Monopoly Phonic provides the soundtrack, ensuring a dynamic blend of drag, burlesque, and music.

The cabaret channels the fearless spirit of Kihara’s work, challenging colonial narratives and celebrating Indigenous queer worlds. Rita Menu and Tess Tickle, stars of Kihara’s Darwin Drag film, will also perform. Tess Tickle, Drag Mother to Kita Mean and Anita Wiglit, brings decades of experience from Sydney’s competitive drag scene, while Rita Menu, a lip-sync powerhouse, is known for her appearance on Season 3 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.

This event is a celebration of art, drag, and music, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in bold expression, mischief, and high-camp performance.
