MIF21: Rooted in Rhyme at Manchester Central

Manchester International Festival journey deep into the city’s hip-hop underground with a packed line-up taking in everything from urban pioneers to emerging talent.

Manchester’s very own DJ Semtex will direct a night featuring sets from SVMI, Culps, Lady Ice, Rago Loco and Victoria Jane alongside aDJ sets from DJ G-A-Z, Best DJ at the Urban Music Awards 2020, and Unity’s DJ Basha.

This one-night festival in partnership with Manchester station Unity Radio and the Manchester Hip Hop Archive will be the launch of a free exhibition at Central Library in July celebrating 40 years of Manchester hip hop heritage, from Ruthless Rap Assassins to Aitch and beyond.
