Meet the author: Miriam Halahmy

Readers are invited to attend an in-person and online Meet the Author event with Miriam Halahmy, who will discuss her novel Always Here for You, nominated for the 2021 CILIP Carnegie Medal and longlisted for the Southern Schools Award.

The book follows 14-year-old Holly, who feels increasingly isolated after her grandmother’s illness, her parents’ absence, and her best friend Amy’s move to Canada. Struggling to find her place among her peers, Holly turns to the internet, where she meets Jay — caring, funny, and seemingly perfect. But as their online friendship deepens, Holly begins to question how well she really knows him. Is Jay who he says he is, or is she in danger of losing herself to someone she can’t truly see?
