An opportunity to meet emerging Artist and Photographer Simone Trumpet, whose online photography exhibition ‘The Divinity of Afro Hair’ will be on display on MMFromHome in October as part of a body of work including partners involved in the Black History Month and Beyond series.
Join Simone as she shares the influences of her practice and artwork which explores how patterns can inspire self-expression. Simone’s photography is inspired by African hairstyles, fabric and plant structures.
The workshop will discover more about Simone’s work, and you can create an artwork whilst exploring your own sense of self and belonging.
“Plaiting hair has always been a way of showing love, care, and affection, and providing a safe place where we feel accepted and can create bonds that last lifetimes.” Simone Trumpet
