Join English National Opera for a hands-on opera-making workshop and conversation about our upcoming programme in Greater Manchester.
Led by experienced opera practitioner Jonathan Ainscough, the session will introduce you to the creative process behind opera through singing, acting and collaborative writing. No prior experience is required – just curiosity and a willingness to take part.
You’ll meet members of the ENO team, learn about our work in the city region as ENO prepare to establish a new base in the city region by 2029, and get an opportunity to share your thoughts on what opera could mean for Greater Manchester’s cultural future.
As a thank-you for participating, you’ll receive complimentary tickets to ENO’s production of Albert Herring at The Lowry on Wednesday 22 October. After the performance, you’ll be invited to contribute to an informal research conversation with ENO’s team over a coffee, helping shape a new chapter for opera – one that reflects the voices, stories and spirit of Greater Manchester.
