Marillion

Few bands have had as profound an impact on the music industry as Marillion.

Long before crowdfunding became a standard way for artists to finance their work, Marillion and their fans pioneered the concept, enabling the band to bypass the traditional music industry and maintain creative freedom. From funding a US tour in the late 1990s to pre-ordering albums a year in advance, the band changed the way music is made, distributed, and supported by fans worldwide.

Musically, Marillion defies easy categorisation. Their sound blends experimental rock with deeply emotional and thought-provoking lyrics, creating a connection with listeners that is both powerful and enduring. With 18 studio albums and decades of live performances, the band has cultivated a devoted international fanbase and continues to win over new listeners with their electrifying shows.

Fans and newcomers alike can look forward to an unforgettable evening of progressive rock, showcasing the band’s dynamic catalogue, from classics to their latest releases. Marillion at The Bridgewater Hall promises to be a celebration of innovation, passion, and the enduring bond between a band and its audience.
