London art-punk group Man/Woman/Chainsaw head to Gorilla this September as part of a UK headline tour.
Formed by friends Billy Ward and Vera Leppänen while still in their mid-teens, the band – completed by Emmie-Mae Avery (vocals, keys/synths), Clio Starwood (violin) and Lola Cherry (drums) – have built a reputation for restless, shape-shifting songs that move between delicate melody and bursts of chaotic noise. Their early singles quickly caught the attention of outlets including NME, The Quietus and BBC 6 Music, helping establish them as one of London’s most talked-about emerging live acts.
Their debut EP, Eazy Peazy, arrived in 2024 and captured the band’s dramatic approach to arrangement, weaving together violin, jagged guitars and theatrical shifts in tempo and tone.
In 2025 the group signed to Fiction Records marking a significant step forward for the band. Their latest single, ‘Only Girl’, arrived later that year and points toward the next stage of their sound.
The Gorilla show offers a chance to catch the band as their reputation continues to grow on the UK live circuit.
