Brighton’s four-piece indie outfit, Lime Garden, is going on tour having announced their long-awaited debut album, One More Thing. In this punchy record, we’re granted exclusive access to the sonic diary of four best friends as they come of age. “I feel like you can hear us growing up in the songs,” says vocalist and rhythm guitarist Chloe Howard.

The indie-electro band (completed by Leila Deeley (lead guitar), Tippi Morgan (bass) and Annabel Whittle (drums)) have been making music together since they were 16, releasing since 2020 and garnering support from 6 Music, NME and The Independent. The band was born out of a glorious twist of fate when Chloe Howard and Annabel Whittle – who were friends on social media – found out that they’d just enrolled at the same college. Here they met Leila Deely, and the three bonded over a love of Talking Heads and Courtney Barnett lyrics. Once college life was done and dusted, the bright lights of Brighton beckoned, which is where the fourth and final piece of the band puzzle – Tippi Morgan – fell into place and Lime Garden was complete.

Having made a stir with the 2021 singles ‘Clockwork’ and ‘Sick and Tired’, the band kicked off 2023 with the new song ‘I Want To Be You’ which nicely teases their upcoming album. If you like it, don’t miss them at Yes this February.
