An Audiophile Séance for the End of the World (That Never Came)
Before the internet fully took over, before streaming dissolved the album into algorithmic haze, there was Kid A. Dropped like an alien transmission in October 2000, it fractured every idea of what a band like Radiohead could—or should—be. No singles. No apologies. Just anxiety, digital fog, and ghost-in-the-machine lullabies that felt both post-human and heartbreakingly intimate.
This October, we’re honouring Kid A‘s silver anniversary the only way that makes sense: by playing it loud on wax, from start to finish.
This is a full playback session—no interruptions, no fast-forwarding, no skipping.
Expect warm analog sound, cold drinks, and the kind of reverent silence usually reserved for final goodbyes.
Before and after the needle drops, we’ll be digging deep into the sonic universe Kid A helped crack open:
- 18:00 – 19:00: Radiohead Radio
- 19:00 – 49 minutes and 56 seconds: Kid A: Played in Full
- Album End – 21:00: Radiohead Radio
Presented on a KV2 Audio sound system. A retrospective playback.
