Chantal Akerman’s remarkable epic of everyday life topped the prestigious Sight and Sound 2022 list to be voted the Greatest Film of All Time in this once-a-decade poll. This International Women’s Day screening is a rare opportunity to see the film on the big screen.

Here Akerman presents three days in the life of a widow who lives with her teenage son and who prostitutes herself at home to make ends meet.

Dr Alison Criddle, Art Historian, will introduce this screening.
