Ibibio Sound Machine take to the stage at Homeground this bank holiday weekend, instantly recognisable by frontwoman Eno Williams vocals yet hard to pin down to genre, their upbeat funky sound is ideal for welcoming back joyful audiences.
Those lucky enough to get a ticket will have to remain seated during this COVID-safe show, but it will be no easy task once Ibibio Sound Machine fire up the Seventies-inspired funk, electronic grooves and soaring guitar.
It might feel a bit strange to be at a gig again, but this perfect programming from Band on the Wall and HOME, a great start to the summer season.
