Du Blonde, the creative persona of Newcastle-born songwriter Beth Jeans Houghton, is set to perform at YES as part of her January and February tour. Known for her dynamic range that spans psychedelic-folk, alt-rock, and glam-pop, Du Blonde has built a reputation for blending music and visual art into an engaging narrative.
After early success with Hooves of Destiny and her debut Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose (2012), Houghton redefined her artistic vision with the gritty Welcome Back to Milk (2015) and later albums Lung Bread for Daddy (2019) and Homecoming (2021). Collaborations with artists like Ezra Furman, Shirley Manson, and Andy Bell have further cemented her innovative sound.
This tour supports her upcoming album Sniff More Gritty, which includes recent singles “Blame” and “TV Star.” With its character-driven songwriting and bold sonic shifts, the album showcases her evolving artistry.
Don’t miss the chance to hear new material live as Du Blonde takes the stage in Manchester.
