London trio Dream Wife return to YES in support of their third studio album, Social Lubrication. The band—vocalist Rakel Mjöll, guitarist Alice Go, and bassist Bella Podpadec—have built a reputation for energetic, genre-blurring rock that mixes garage punk, indie pop, and riotous hooks with sharp, socially conscious lyrics.
Following 2020’s So When You Gonna…, which cemented their international profile with tours across the US, Europe, and Australia, the trio are set to bring new material exploring attraction, community, and social dynamics alongside their fan-favourite tracks. Singles like “Hot (Don’t Date A Musician)” demonstrate Dream Wife’s blend of jagged guitars, playful vocals, and infectious rhythms, while retaining the politically charged, empowering energy that defines their live shows.
Known for their explosive performances and commitment to inclusion and solidarity in the music industry, Dream Wife’s YES gig promises a cathartic, high-energy experience, where both long-time fans and newcomers can engage with the band’s unmistakable sound and ethos.
