Australian indie rock trio DMA’S return to Manchester Academy for two nights in February, bringing their biggest songs and brand-new material from their forthcoming self-titled album.
Since forming in Sydney in 2012, DMA’S have built a devoted international following with their blend of soaring guitar anthems, dancefloor energy and heartfelt songwriting. Taking inspiration from Manchester’s rave heritage and classic British indie music, the band have become renowned for euphoric live performances and crowd-sized choruses.
The tour follows the release of DMA’S, their first self-titled album and a record that sees the trio embracing a more direct and self-defined sound. Recorded and produced by the band themselves, the album features the nostalgic lead single My Baby’s Place alongside Heatin’ Park, an energetic new track inspired by Manchester’s iconic Heaton Park.
Across albums including Hills End, For Now, The Glow and How Many Dreams?, DMA’S have consistently combined shimmering guitars, electronic influences and festival-ready hooks. Their connection with UK audiences has helped make Manchester one of the band’s spiritual homes, and these Academy shows promise to be among their most anticipated UK dates of the year.
