Two titans of hip-hop production, DJ Premier and The Alchemist, bring their first-ever co-headline world tour to Manchester this November, showcasing decades of iconic work and a live set spanning some of the most influential beats in the genre’s history.
DJ Premier is widely regarded as one of the greatest producers in hip-hop. Best known as one half of the legendary duo Gang Starr alongside Guru, and later PRhyme with Royce da 5’9″, Premier helped define the ’90s New York sound with his signature jazz-inflected, sample-heavy style. His production credits include tracks for Nas (Illmatic), Jay-Z (Reasonable Doubt), The Notorious B.I.G. (Ready to Die), Mos Def, and Jeru the Damaja, among countless others.
Equally prolific, The Alchemist carved his name into hip-hop history through early collaborations with Dilated Peoples and Mobb Deep, before going on to produce for the likes of Big Pun, Ghostface Killah, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Eminem. Known for his moody, textured beats, The Alchemist continues to shape the sound of modern hip-hop with recent projects featuring Freddie Gibbs, Larry June, and Erykah Badu.
While both artists have toured extensively, this marks the first time they’re sharing the stage as part of a global tour—offering fans a rare chance to see two of the most respected names in hip-hop performing side by side.
