Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration

Join Manchester Central Library for the Mexican celebration Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead). In Mexican culture, it is believed that during this time of the year your lost loved ones come back to visit. Family and friends gather together to honour their relatives and friends by cooking their favourite dishes, dancing, playing music, and telling their favourite stories. Families visit their graves and create elaborate beautiful decorated altars in their homes to welcome them. This is all a part of celebrating the cycle of life.
