Billie Meredith, SAF-S2E, Cassandra Marie Geyti, Silas Toft, Marie Laurberg Nielsen and Selina Rom Andersen, talented young writers from Manchester, Aalborg and Aarhus present new poetry inspired by explorations of each other’s cities as part of the Cities Untold residency project.
From stumbling into a rehearsal of the Four Seasons at Manchester Cathedral and getting caught up in an exuberant throng of visiting football fans, to an atmospheric ferry ride to the island of Egholm, Cities Untold provides lyrical, surprising, sensual, and sometimes surreal impressions of the three cities through fresh lenses. The poets will be accompanied by jazz guitarist Rory A. Green and harpist Ada Grace Francis. Produced by Nicole May and presented in partnership with Young Identity and Danish festivals Ordkraft (Aalborg) and LiteratureXchange (Aarhus).
The Cities Untold project has been generously supported by Manchester City Council, Kulturministeriet – The Agency for Culture and Palaces, Statens Kunstfond – The Danish Arts Foundation, Aarhus Municipality and Aalborg Municipality.
