The Muppet Christmas Carol

The magic of the season arrives at HOME’s cinemas this winter with a programme filled with familiar favourites, returning classics and captivating experiences across both stage and screen.

From Saturday 29 November, festivities begin with the sparkling pantomime magic of the CBeebies Panto: Cinderella, a festive treat for the youngest audiences. The theatrical wonder continues with The Royal Ballet’s Cinderella on Sunday 30 November, offering a magical experience for all the family.

As December unfolds, the lineup becomes a delightful festive collision. The felt-covered chaos of The Muppet Christmas Carol—presented in its full, restored version—plays alongside the live-action favourite How the Grinch Stole Christmas, returning for its 25th anniversary. Younger adventurers can join PAW Patrol on a mission to save Christmas, while audiences of all ages can climb aboard The Polar Express for a breathtaking journey on Monday 22 December. Later in the month, The Royal Ballet returns with its enchanting festive favourite, The Nutcracker, on Sunday 14 December.

Reclaiming its place at the heart of the season, the timeless and life-affirming It’s a Wonderful Life screens from Friday 12 December, offering a reminder of community, optimism and hope.

Alongside the family fare, HOME also explores the season’s heightened emotions with a selection of not-so-merry melodramas. The centrepiece is Douglas Sirk’s winter classic All That Heaven Allows, a sumptuous and socially resonant drama opening on Friday 12 December.

HOME invites audiences to a Christmas celebration with something for everyone, from joyful family outings to rich and captivating cinematic classics.
