Chalk return to Manchester this April for a headline show at Gorilla, following a rapturous performance at Band on the Wall in 2025 that earned them widespread attention in the city.
Ross Cullen and Benedict Goddard merge industrial post-punk, techno, and club influences into a sound that’s both intense and exhilarating, bridging the energy of a guitar band with the pulse of the underground dance scene.
2025 has been a breakthrough year for the Belfast- and Dublin-based act. They sold out tours across the UK and Europe, made festival appearances at Glastonbury and Bilbao BBK, and drew praise from publications including NME, DIY, Rolling Stone UK, and The Line Of Best Fit. Their tracks have also featured on BBC 6 Music playlists and led to a session for KEXP, establishing Chalk as one of the UK’s most compelling live acts.
At Gorilla, fans can expect a performance that channels that tension and dynamism into a live set where brooding synths, pounding drums, and visceral vocals collide. Chalk’s shows have become known for their physicality and intensity, and their Manchester headline date promises another immersive, high-energy experience.
